We visited this cafe on our first day and every day after. Loved the brownies, the bagels made with Onsen water, and they made the best matcha latte. Lovely people, lovely atmosphere.

Love the bagel sandwiches at Melia! Cute and cozy skateboard themed cafe, close to the Nozawa Onsen bus terminal and central area. Bagels take about 5-10 minutes to prepare, and cost from ¥450 to ¥580, and more for additional toppings. If you are looking for something savory but healthy, the Avocado Prosciutto Bagel is perfect. If you are looking for something heartier and heavier, to fuel your day out on the slopes, try the Bacon & Egg Bagel. If you're in a nutty mood, try the Walnut Agave Bagel, sweet and filling. They open at 8am and close at 6pm.

Found this cafe while walking around the Village. It’s by the corner so it has a great view. Small shop, only 1 table and the rest by the bar. Cool place. Friendly staff.

A cute cozy skate shop cafe that is perfect for a quick bite on the way to the mountain, or for a lounge on a rainy day. Masa and Akane are the absolute loveliest couple and make you feel right at home. Their bagels are the best in Japan, and they have vegan&gluten free cookies and raw cakes, and as a person who indulges in both animal product and gluten, can say they are some of the best treats I’ve ever had. 10/10 recommend.
